Time to snap off the Liverpoo?

A run of one defeat in 10 league games might have reignited hope that Liverpool would book a spot in next year's Champion's League but a pathetic display against Wigan overnight has sent those dreams to the shitter.

Time for the red's gaffer Rafa must surely be coming to a close soon and the Liverpool faithful in Serious B should seriously be questioning the worth on holding onto the struggling Anfield regulars.

Barearsalona would have been hoping his bets on Liverpool's best goal-scoring prospects (Aquilani, Kurt, Torres and Benayoun) might have paid off against lowly-placed Wigan -- but they only managed 262 minutes out of a possible 360, and not a goal to their collective names.

In either a show of shrewd perception over Liverpool's troubled plight or complete idiocy in dropping the team's best performer of the year, second-placed Carew-free zone dumped the injured Glen Johnson last week for Tottenham's in-form Gareth Bale -- only for the Liverpool and England defender to make his long awaited return to the pitch.

Speaking of transfers, apart from a sprinkle of trade action between Toiletduck FC and I am the best I will win, the 7 month trade drought in Serious B continues without any sign of rain ahead - and it's starting to show on the league's stagnate table. Despite an open offer from Semi-Hard FC to offload any of his players, no one has yet persuaded him to relinquish any of his coveted strike force. Carew-free zone is also keen to offload keepers Schwarzer and Hart but unless mid-table mediocrity is what you're after, you're best not to bite.

Toiletduck FC has continued his second-half reign on top of the table thanks to a monopoly in defensive points but that could come under threat as a long-term injury to Ashley Cole and the WAG poaching talents of John Terry's unsettle the Duck's backline dominance. Only early season leader Carew-free zone, has shown signs of attempting to dislodge the current table leader, while Semi-Hard FC, Uni Slackers and Barearsalona all continue their tight battle for third.

With only 10 games left to go there's no better time than now for the mid-table hopefuls and the bottom half stragglers to make something of their season.
